Storm Throne is a 2009 RHP with a 6-7 230 lb. frame from Sergeant Bluff, IA who attends Morningside College. Extra large athletic build, also plays college basketball. Slow paced deliberate delivery, high 3/4's release point, works downhill, low effort release. Low 90's fastball topped at 93 mph, have seen 94-95 mph in the past, works fastball to bottom of the zone but mostly straight. Big slow curveball, commands curveball well but lacks power, didn't see change up. Doesn't get over front side well on either pitch, tends to stand straight up on curveball at release. Big hard thrower with improving coordination and easy arm. Getting lots of draft interest.
