Sterling Neal is a 2013 MIF/OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Second Baptist School. Smaller build, developing strength. 7.16 runner, very solid outfield actions, quick release with proper footwork, accurate on line throws. Also shows arm strength in infield, actions not as polished and release longer, can develop at either position as the tools are there. Left handed hitter, straight stance, keeps swing short, bit uphill in his mechanics, contact approach with limited load, gets barrel out early and tends to hit around the ball, contact approach, will improve offensively with additional strength. Excellent student.
