Jacob McCain is a 2015 RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Louisiana State University Laboratory HS. Strong athletic build. Clean delivery mechanics, stays balanced and on line, medium length arm circle with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight with good running and sinking life down in the zone. Tends to wrap curveball in takeaway both tipping pitch and taking away spin, developing change up with slower arm coming through. Listed as pitcher only and did not take batting practice but showed explosive hands and good bat speed and power in games with multiple hard contacts. Played hard and with confidence in all areas. Good student.
