Tyler Moffitt is a 2006 left handed pitcher/first baseman from LaGrange, GA with a lean build and a medium frame at 5-11, 165 lbs. He pitches from a low 3/4 slot with a repeatable delivery. Moffitt's mechanics are solid. His fastball tops at 77 mph with slight armside run. Tyler's change shows good movement at 68 mph. His slider is his best pitch showing good sweeping action at 69 mph. Moffitt is very tough against left handed hitters. He hits from an open stance with a slight knee lift trigger. Tyler is short to the ball with quick hands and good bat speed. He has a contact approach and he centers on the ball well. Moffitt has good tools and he is a potential 2-way guy at the next level. Tyler is a good student.
