2003 South Top Prospect Showcase
Hamilton is a third baseman that understands the game and plays for keeps. In this showcase he proved he can play at the next level. His body is a good one that works well now and will become stronger with time. He runs the bases fairly well, showed very good hands, actions and a playable arm at the corner. His throws registered 81 mph but carried extremely well. He made a diving stab of a line drive and came up with it, set his feet and threw a strike across the infield. It was a big-time play. His swing was level showing good usage from his hips and excellent balance. He is a player now and his best years are ahead of him. Thomas is an outstanding student.
