2012 PG National Pre-Draft Showcase
Zach Coppola is a 2012 OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Windsor Heights, IA who attends Dowling Catholic HS. Showed well at the Spring Top Prospect Showcase in April, and had an even better workout less than a month later. Posted an excellent 60 yard dash time of 6.38 seconds (.01 seconds behind the fastest time) and hit 92 on the radar gun in the outfield workout. Quality athlete with high level defensive tools, has shown very well in the outfield and has the all around athleticism that suggests he could handle a move to other positions at the next level if needed. Line drive hitter who sprays the ball to all fields, simple swing, good contact skills, chance to develop power as he matures physically. Interesting prospect. Signed with South Dakota State.
