2014 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
David Posas is a 2015 SS/3B with a 6-1 188 lb. frame from Valdosta, GA who attends Valdosta. Large, athletic build with broad shoulder and a strong, physical build with present strength throughout. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball with short steps, quick transfer from glove to hand, gets on top of throws and shows strength across with carry. Switch hitter, shows very nice tools from both sides of the plate. Creates nice separation in swing left-handed, starts with an open stance, good extension in swing with quick hands and solid bat speed with interesting power. Swing has some length from right side but uses lower half well in swing and creates solid pop off the barrel with a fluid swing and gets the barrel through the zone with lift. Named to Southeast Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
