Sammy Stevens is a 2014 C/1B, 3B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Birmingham, MI who attends Brother Rice. Tall, strongly built catcher, looks the part. Ran a 7.42 60 yard dash. Flashes a quick release and quality arm strength from behind the plate and is consistently on the bag with his throws. Left-handed batter, works from an upright setup with a high back elbow. Uses a toe tap trigger and produces consistent line drives with some carry. Good plate discipline and takes an aggressive swing. Outstanding student.
