Brett Shapcott is a 2015 LHP/OF, 1B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Davidson, NC who attends William Amos Hough. Medium, proportioned frame and has room to get stronger. Shows a long arm action on the mound and release from a high three-quarter arm slot. Repeats a deceptive delivery well. Fastball tops at 77 mph and he also shows good 11-5 depth on his curveball. Also played the field, moves well to the ball in the outfield and gets the most out of his present arm strength. Bats from the right side, carries his hands low and has a strong base. Spins on the ball inside well and has a line drive swing path. Shows good bat speed and a compact stroke. Very good student.
