Jake Goodreau is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Southwick, MA who attends Southwick-Tolland Regional. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a physical, mature build with present strength. Ran a 7.80 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows nice footwork, blocks well in the dirt, quick transfer and release with accuracy and carry on throws, gets tall at release. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Wrapped start, does a nice job of getting the barrel through the zone and shows a feel for it. Uses a leg lift trigger, shows very nice bat speed with lift in swing. Gets long at times but creates hard contact with leverage to pull side with jump off the barrel. Named to Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
