Reid Kjerstad is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Amarillo, TX who attends Randall. Has a large projectable frame with room to get stronger. Has a good accurate arm from the outfield with good feel, gets good reads on balls and will continue to add velo. At the plate he starts with a squared high hands with a simple approach. Has good quick hands with good bat speed, makes consistent barrel contact and has good extension. Makes line drive contact with pop in his bat and has an aggressive swing. He pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with a high loose leg kick, pounds the strike zone with all his pitches, has good sink on his fastball and his curveball works well with an 11-5 break. Is an intriguing prospect to continue to follow and is a good student.
