Manzione is a 5-10 combination right handed pitcher/infielder from Pennsylvania. On the mound, Manzione has a high leg kick and long arm stroke but is athletic enough to maintain good consistent mechanics and release point. His fastball was 77-80 mph and he had 2 pretty good off speed pitches in his 62-65 mph curveball and 68 mph change up. Manzione’s curveball has a fairly flat, sweeping break but he showed good feel and command for the pitch and was very consistent with it. He had good arm speed on the change up. As a hitter, Manizone shows impressive bat speed for his age and size. He has an aggressive swing and has an idea how to use the bat head with wood. Manizone stayed inside the ball well in games and in BP and showed some power to the opposite field. Defensively, Manizone will have to work on his speed and quickness but he has some arm strength.
