Tyler Bender is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends Mariner. Long loose athletic build. Pitches from low 3/4 arm slot, loose arm action, quick arm, not much lower 1/2 use to delivery, arm speed for better velocity. Quick to the plate, good tailing action on fastball, good command, has mound presence, good break on slider. Quick hands at the plate, hits from an open stance, gets out of the box well, good strike zone discipline, rotational swing, medium length, balanced. Very good student.
