Ryan Padilla is a 2011 OF/LHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends La Cueva HS. Tall angular athletic build, very good strength potential. Two way potential. 6.87 runner, very sound outfield fundamentals, long smooth arm, good actions, nice arm strength. Left handed hitter, spread stance, gets to front side very early, has strong hands at the ball, some raw bat speed and lift, needs to stay back better to take next step. Also pitched, tall delivery, stiff front side, long loose arm. 84-86 mph fastball, sinks when low, hard spin on 74 mph curveball, sharp break, good run on changeup, has a feel for off speed. Should keep improving in all areas, nice athlete. Good student, verbal commitment to New Mexico.
