Zach Smith is a 2012 MIF/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Bridge City, TX who attends Bridge City. Smith has a compact, athletic build. He has an upright stance at the plate, good setup, compact swing, some effort but stays balanced, good extension, live bat, gap to gap approach, can drive ball. Solid arm action in the infield, good footwork, fields deep, solid hands. Also pitched, quick arm, 3/4 slot, works quickly, keeps ball down, ball gets on hitter quickly. He is an excellent student.
