Crew is a big, barrel chested young man with some serious strength to him. He throws from a simple, balanced delivery and does a good job of throwing strikes with all his pitches. Crew threw his fastball in the 84-86 mph range in Lincoln and tried to work different parts of the strike zone. His curveball had good spin and velocity at 73-74 mph, while he worked in a 78 mph change up. We are sure he has thrown with better velocity in the past. Jim's good arm action and strength should result in consistent 90+ heaters. The fact that he can pitch, makes him all the more appealling. Jim is a very good student.
