2003 Sunshine West Showcase
Corso is a sharp right-hander with a slightly higher than 3/4 arm slot that showed an 80-83 mph fastball topping out at 84. He also used a curve and change-up effectively. Both off-speed pitches were in the low 60's and had batters guessing but lacked the hard spin we think Corso is capable of throwing. He showed a nice fast arm and a relatively short arm action. He drives his left foot toward home plate in his delivery and gets good hip power with that delivery. He is young looking and we think there is going to be more in him over the next year. He even swung a good bat hitting line drives to all fields in BP. He has some talent and we think he will end up on the mound.
