Matt Rand is a 2009 MIF from Cape Elizabeth HS, residing in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, with a 5'8"/125 pound frame. He hits from a slightly open stance with a line drive swing plane. Rand has solid hands and makes consistent contact. He needs to improve his bat speed and use his lower half more. Rand has a solid release across the infield with an accurate arm at 59 mph. he gets to the ball well. Matt needs to improve his arm strength and field the ball out front more. He is an excellent student.
