2003 Sunshine West Showcase
Shiff is a 6 foot catcher just finishing his sophomore year. He has a good body to grow into and appears to be in the growing stages. His running and throwing coordination are still catching up to his body and his pop time should improve as he gains the strength that he projects to end up with. He can receive well and is comfortable with new pitchers. His swing was best suited for the outside pitch and he will benefit by shortening his stride and quieting his hitting approach. As a pitcher there could be an even higher ceiling. He has plenty of projection to both hitting and pitching. Good student.
