2003 Spring Showcase
Nowaczyk is a senior corner infielder that features a pretty swing and hitting ability. He is a 5 foot 11, 195 pound third-baseman that projects best at 1B down the road. He showed a good glove and registered 77 mph on the throwing portion of the defesive workout. He throws right-handed and bats Left-handed. It is the left-handed bat that is special. He can sit back and rip the ball from what we saw. He showed good bat-speed, a contact hitters swing and stayed inside some tough inner half fastballs. He can hit the long ball with wood and we think he can contribute with the bat right away. He was unsigned at the time of the Midwest showcase.
