Prahm is a 6-2 sophomore infielder from Texas with an athletic, projectable body. Prahm is a left handed hitter with a sweet swing and the present strength to generate impressive bat speed. He hits out of a slightly open stance with good flex in his knees and good loading action close to his body. Prahm keeps his hands close and inside the ball until contact and gets very good extension through contact. He projects very nice power down the road but should hit for a high average now. We also liked that Prahm kept his swing and approach very consistent from batting practice to game at bats and seemed like a very confident hitter. Prahm ran the 60 in 7.17 and threw 77 mph during infield drills from a low ¾’s release point. His fielding actions are a bit raw at present but it’s easy to forget that he’s a sophomore when you look at his mature 6-2 frame. He likely will end up at third base down the road but will need to play himself off the middle infield.
