Brett Geren is a 2011 C/1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Danville, CA who attends San Ramon Valley HS. Medium frame, strong thick lower half. Simple effective swing approach, short balanced weight shift, short quick swing, has strength in his hands, solid line drive contact to all fields, will show some loft at times. Sound catching fundamentals, short release, playable arm strength, 1.97 best pop time, tends to catch with with a straight back. Son of ML manager Bob Geren. Excellent student.
