Hunter Nicholson is a 2008 MIF with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Alliance Christian HS. He has a short, smaller type frame and minimal present strength. Nicholson profiles at second base in the future. He has good defensive quickness and fields the ball best on the move. He has a quick release and good hands at the ball to make up for below average arm strength. His fielding fundamentals tended to break down when he was stationary fielding the ball. Offensively, Nicholson has a big gather with his hands to load and has an upper half rotational swing. He squares up on the ball pretty well but lacks the strength and lower half involvement to create real bat speed at this point. Nicholson is a good student.
