Michael Moran is a 2007 LHP/1B with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Pittsburgh PA, who attends Fox Chapel. Moran has a big frame with a slender lean build. Moran pitches from a over the top arm slot with a medium arm action. There is some stiffness in his arm action that could be smoothed out to give him more arm speed. He uses a tall and fall style delivery and he finishes to the third base side. Moran is a max effort pitcher and he pushes the ball a bit in his delivery. His curveball has good spin and he can throw it consistently for strikes. At the plate Moran starts with a straight stance and a narrow base. He uses a no load approach and has weight shift to the front side. Moran swings with a level bat path and he has a quiet approach in the box. Defensively he has good hands and he can make the picks at 1b. He also moves around the base well at 1b. Moran is also a good student.
