Kyle Rattray is a 2007 OF/2B with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from New York NY, who attends Collegiate NY NY. Rattray has a medium sized frame with a good lean build. Defensively, Rattray has solid range as his 60 yard dash speed (7.09). Ratrray was ill during the OF throwing and we would like to see him again. At the plate, Rattray has a wide stance and starts with flexed knees. He uses a no load approach and starts his swing with a short stride. Rattray uses a two-piece approach to hitting and gets his front foot down early. Rattray stays balanced through his swing and keeps his head on the ball. He has some bat wrap pre-swing and has tension in his arms before he brings his hands to the baseball. With a few adjustments, Rattray should be able to swing with more bat speed and quickness.
