2006 Sunshine East Showcase
Wayne McCullough is a 2007 OF/1B with a 5'9'', 180 lb. frame from Roseland NJ, who attends West Essex HS. He has a short, stocky body with some present strength. McCullough ran the 60 in 8.11 and threw 66 mph during outfield drills. He throws from a wide open slinging arm stroke and will see his accuracy and arm strength improve with better fundamentals. Offensively, McCullough hits from a wide closed stance with low hands to start his swing. He takes and aggressive line drive swing and makes solid contact, mostly to right field. Opening up his front side and getting his hands higher could open up the whole field to him. McCullough is also an outstanding student.
