Josh Kelly is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Spring Valley, CA, who attends Monte Vista HS. Kelly has a tall, long body with a lean build. His body is projectable. Kelly pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle in back. His delivery is close to online and is slightly across his body. He has solid arm speed and throws with minimal effort. Kelly uses a high leg kick and occasionally falls towards first base at finish. He throws a curveball with good depth and spin as well as a changeup with good arm side run. Kelly has good control and was around the plate throughout his 3 innings of work. He moves well in the outfield and demonstrated good body control when fielding. Kelly throws the ball with little effort from the outfield and has an accurate arm. At the plate, he starts with a wide stance and swings from a crouch. He has a slightly open stance and uses a rotational approach through his swing.
