Kyle Dreger is a 6-3, 215 lb right handed pitcher/first baseman from Wisconsin with good overall strength. He has a mulit-part delivery and humps up on the ball a bit on release to stay on top of the ball and create downward plane to the plate from a high 3/4's release point. Dreger's fastball topped out at 81 mph and was steadily 78-80 mph. His fastball was pretty straight and tended to be up in the strike zone. His best pitch was a 73 mph change up that had split finger type action at the plate. He also threw a big breaking curveball at 60-63 mph. Dreger also showed some potential with the bat. He has good bat speed and flashed his raw power potential. Loosening up his upper body will help Dreger both in his pitching and hitting in the future. Dreger is a good student.
