Jason Diaz is a 5'10" 170 pound 2007 right handed pitcher from Miami, Florida who attends Miami Sunset High School. He has a medium solid body with a short compact arm action. He has good arm speed and solid control and command of all three pitches. Jason keeps the ball down and uses his lower half very well. His fastball at 83 mph has some cut action to it. His 11/5 curveball was at 66 mph and is a solid pitch. He has a good feel for his change up at 68 mph with good run and sink to it. Diaz has no wasted movement in his delivery and projects to add more velocity as he matures. Jason is a solid pitcher who is an excellent student as well with a 4.2 gpa and a 1930 on his SAT.
