Jon Pressley is a 2015 C/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Dripping Springs HS. Strong athletic build, looks the part. Very good defensively at multiple positions, has athletic quickness behind the plate, receives well and blocks effectively, quick exchange and release, emphasizes release time over raw arm strength, 1.84 best pop time, has more strength than showing behind the plate. Stood out defensively at first base with balance and athleticism, has the tools to play third base if desired. Left handed hitter, short and quick swing approach, aggressive at the plate, uses the opposite field well, shows patience and recognizes pitches, low hand start and will occasional swing around the ball, has some untapped power potential as well. Nice all around player. Very good student.
