Brandon Davis is a 2016 LHP with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Garden Grove, CA who attends Cypress. Large frame with wide set hips, long limbs. Pitches from a three quarters arm slot with a very long arm action and full arm circle. Big drop and drive in delivery, low effort delivery, cuts off extension out front a bit early and can finish pitches better. Loose arm and projects well, located fastball effectively on both sides of the plate. Flashed some feel for 1-7 curveball and located it on backdoor corner against right handers several times for called third strikes. Good fading action on changeup and located it for strikes as well, though lack of velocity differential from fastball limits effectiveness at present, though it shows good potential. Good student.
