Travis Holt is a 2017 SS/2B/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Plantation, FL who attends American Heritage HS. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, and projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength, has quick-twitch muscle to frame. Ran a 7.14 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well and feet and shows quick footwork, smooth transfer and hands plays well at ball, overall actions will continue to develop, shows arm strength across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and pulls hands back at start. Shifts weight through lower half and uses a high leg kick for a timing trigger. Loose swing and repeats mechanics well, contact approach with solid present feel for barrel and line drive contact up the middle. Projects well, occasionally gets uphill with swing plane, hard contact coming off when squared. Excellent student.
