Timothy Gonzalez is a 2007 IF/OF with a 5'11'', 160 lb. frame from Orange, CA, who attends El Modena HS. He has a medium frame with athleticism. Gonzalez has good speed in the sixty (6.81), on the bases, and defensively. In the infield he stays low through the ball with good hands and nice footwork. Displays solid arm strength on his throws from a long release. Gonzalez also covers a ground in the infield. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance. He has a nice, smooth swing with quick wrists. There is bat speed through the hitting zone, and he has a short and compact swing. Stays balanced throughout his swing showing gap power. Once on the bases, Gonzalez shows his speed and instincts and makes things happen. He will always take the extra base and runs with ease. Gonzalez is a scrappy player who is fun to watch.
