Nicklaus McLees is a 2014 SS/3B, 2B, RHP with a 5-9 178 lb. frame from Hartland, WI who attends Marquette University. Medium, lean, athletic build. Ran a 7.22 60 yard dash. Bats right-handed, works from squared stance and flashes good bat speed. Stays short to the ball and has a line drive swing path. Hits well in game action and gets good extension. Shows solid arm strength across the diamond and makes accurate throws. Has athletic fielding actions at shortstop. Also took the mound, reaches 79 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. Uses a high leg kick, needs to stay on top more consistently. Also mixes in an 11-5 curveball at 66 mph. Flashes use of a changeup at 74 mph. Good student.
