Ben Brookover is a 2014 1B/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Reagan HS. Broad shouldered athletic build, big strength potential. Right handed hitter, balanced stance, swings hard and has very good bat speed, pull and lift approach, gets the ball in the air, sells out a bit for pull power but has the tools and finds the barrel, like the aggression and bat speed. 7.23 runner, moves around well at first base, very good arm strength, looks athletic enough to play multiple positions. Also pitches, compact 3/4's arm action, cross body release, has some deception, good arm speed. Fastball to 87 mph, hard tailing action at times, throws fastball for strikes, big break on frisbee slider, tends to slow arm on change but gets lots of life. Tough at bat for right handed hitters, lots of swing miss. Two-way college prospect. Good student.
