Tom Leonardini is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Aptos, CA who attends Aptos HS. Very nice pitchers build, lean and athletic. Big leg raise delivery, full deep arm circle, high 3/4's slot, works downhill well, will occasionally fall off on release causing him to miss glove side. Steady mid 80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, maintained velocity for four innings, mostly straight, pitches aggressively with his fastball. Fair curveball spin, 11/7 shape, tends to slow arm on curveball, developing change up that he could throw more often. Will need to mix his pitches more at the next level. Still has some projection left in his arm to add velocity. Good student.
