Tyler Murphy is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Greenbrier Christian Academy. Extra large, lean frame with long limbs and plenty of room to fill out. Ran a 7.63 60 yard dash. Right handed pitcher who throws from a low three quarter arm slot, which allow him to generate good arm side run on his fastball, topping at 80 mph and sat 78-80. Deceptive delivery and throws across body but it works, filling up strike zone with all pitches and misses bats. Arm slot drops on slider, getting tight spin and 10/4 break on the pitch. Slider is out pitch and shows a good feel for it. Also flashed a change up at 75 mph. Left handed swing, high hand set up and leg lift trigger with a line drive swing path and occasional lift. Excellent student.
