Tyler Mabry is a 2007 right handed pitcher from Francis Parker HS in La Mesa, CA, with a 6'6", 230 lb. frame. He is a young pitcher with an intimidating frame on the mound. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with solid arm speed and a long arm circle on the backside with some slinging action. Mabry has a slow and controlled delivery with good balance over the rubber. His heavy fastball topped out at 80 mph with arm side life and sink. He will induce many groundballs with the sink on his pitches, and will break some wood bats. His changeup has good sink as well at 69 mph, and he showed good feel and arm action on the pitch. He allowed only one hit during his three innings of work while striking out three. Mabry has good upside with projectable velocity. He is a must follow, and is an excellent student.
