Jayson Rose is a 2014 RHP/2B with a 6-0 168 lb. frame from Alpine, CA who attends Granite Hills HS. Medium athletic build, beginnings of some present strength. Rotational delivery, long upper half action, opens early and lands to the first base side, extended 3/4's arm action, good arm speed with long loose extension out front. Fastball to 88 mph, have seen up to 90 mph in the past, good arm side running life when down, tends to pitch up frequently. Varies spin and shape on breaking ball, big sweeping curveball at times, will shorten up for shorter slider look, gets spin on both and can further develop. Good student.
