James Palmer is a 2014 SS/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Milford, CT who attends Jonathan Law. Medium, highly athletic build. Ran a 6.93 60 yard dash. Outstanding defensive infielder with highest level fielding actions. Moves through the ball with ease and shows off soft hands. Circles well to his backhand and shows superb footwork going up the middle. Extra fluid defensive talent. Has enough arm strength and has carry, and has a quick transfer to get the most out of his present arm. Bats right-handed, works from a wide, balanced setup and carries his hands high. Flashes good bat speed and stays under control, producing consistent line drives. Gets long at times but his hands are quick and have life in them. Line drive hitter who makes consistent contact. Good student.
