Corey Herndon is a 2014 RHP/3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Marion, AR who attends Christian Brothers HS. Nice pitcher's build, present strength with more to come. Side step/leg raise delivery, medium deep arm circle, high 3/4's arm slot, good direction to the plate. Fastball to 85 mph, saw up to 89 mph this summer, gets some late late arm side run, tries to pitch to spots with his fastball. 12/6 downer curveball shape, can get out front on curveball better for more spin, rare change up. RIght handed hitter, shows good bat speed and strength, swings hard, good weight shift, squared ball up well, has 2-way potential. Sound defensive actions at third base, charged the ball well, good carry on throws. Good student, verbal commitment to Arkansas.
