Cody Morris is a 2015 RHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Laurel, MD who attends Reservoir HS. Tall angular athletic build, very projectable physically. Very long extended arm action, fast paced delivery, tends to land open in front with a short stride, whippy fast arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 94 mph, velocity comes pretty easy, good arm side running action at times. Inconsistent curveball release point, gets good depth to a soft curveball when on top at release, tends to get under the pitch at other times. Some developing feel for his change up with fading action. Key for the future will be developing his secondary pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
