Ben Porter is a 2015 OF/RHP with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Newton, MA who attends Newton North. Medium, lean frame with long limbs and room to fill out. Athletic build and strong runner, posting a 6.66 60 yard dash. Good footwork and balance in the outfield, staying in control of body at all time. Sets feet to make throws. Shows good arm strength with low, online throws that carry well. Fluid arm action. Right handed batter with a narrow, closed base and toe tap trigger with a rock back load. Strong wrists and good extension on swing, showing bat speed and ability to lift ball. Upper half swing, squares up ball consistently. Named to Top Prospect List and Team. Very good student.
