Derek Valiska is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Bastrop, TX who attends Cedar Creek HS. Small, slender build, developig strength, very young look. 7.38 runner, quick feet on defense, shows the beginnings of some range, developing arm strength, will need to get his hands down and out earlier as the game speeds up. Right handed hitter, tall upright stance, limited load, upper half rotational swing, needs to be more aggressive with the barrel. 14 years old with plenty of time to get stronger and develop.
