2003 South Top Prospect Showcase
Dupriest is a versatile infielder with good habits, nice actions and he showed plus make-up on and off the field. His arm strength indicates he might be best suited at second base or the outfield. His running ability is good and will be more than playable at either spot. He can field the ball as an infielder but showed as much or more ability reading fly balls. They are 2 positions that he has the ability to play at the next level from what we saw. At the plate he showed good pop in his bat by creating a whip of the bat-head. He used a wide stance and dropped his back side a bit but got some power out of it. We think he could benefit from using a pivot on the back foot. If he develops a little more power like his lean frame projects, we think he will get the attention from scouts and college coaches alike.
