Derek Rustich is a 2013 3B/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends Grossmont HS. Big strong athletic build, physically mature. Left handed hitter, deep load, long and strong swing, good bat speed, looks to pull and lift, loose and easy out front, tends to hit over back side at times, big power potential. Polished fielder, soft hands and good balance, accurate on line throws, playable arm strength, can also play first base. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego.
