Justin Barker is a 2013 RHP/OF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Channelview, TX who attends Robert E Lee HS. Slender loose build, plenty of room to add strength. Multi-piece delivery with some deception, long extended arm action with an over the top release point, pulls head off the plate on release. Fastball to 86 mph, mostly straight with occasional cutting action, soft curveball with some 11/5 shape, nice change up with sink and feel. More velocity in there with strength, adjustments, might be better suited for a slider than a curveball. 7.08 runner, very athletic outfield actions, plus arm strength with on line accuracy, very fluid actions, also plays shortstop. Right handed hitter, long loose swing, has some bat speed, gap power when pulling, sees ball well and squares it up, potential two-way prospect who should keep improving.
