2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Winters is a 6-1 junior third baseman from Florida with a good frame and projectable strength. He’s a good runner who ran a 7.04 60. Winters sets up in a wide stance at the plate and has an exaggerated hand movement way back during his load that adds length to his swing. Winters hit the ball very well against live pitching, including a hard double up the right centerfield gap, and looks like the type of hitter who makes consistent contact. More strength will help his raw bat speed. Winters is a good student.
