LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2004 National Showcase
Matt Hall is a lean athletic 6'2/175 SS from Scottsdale, AZ. We’ve seen middle infielders from Arizona improve dramatically at this age over the past few years and Hall has the tools and athleticism to become an early draft pick. He made the defensive play of the showcase, with a diving stop on the line at third base and rocket throw to first. He runs well and has a MLB arm from SS. He shows very nice actions and soft hands with great instincts. He might have been the top defensive player at the Nationals. He can hit and hit the top pitching. He also showed some serious power potential. There's not much that he can't do on a baseball field. Highest level college guy and definite pro future either next year or later. Matthew is a very good student.
