Robert is a medium bodied catcher who showed us good offensive skills with the wood bat. He hits from an open stance and does a solid job of getting his hands through quickly. Robert made consistent hard contact in batting practice but tended to fly open a bit too much against live pitching. Robert is going to have to work hard to take his defensive game to the next level but he carries himself like a hard worker. His arm plays and he shows athletic ability, even runs well for a catcher. He’s also an outstanding student.
